Thanks to support forums like this one (and NOT to the manufacturer's user guide, which doesn't even include Windows 7), I found the solution to the headphone lag. My new Yeti USB microphone gives me a half-second of latency both through the headphones while monitoring a recording session, and through the recording software as well - in this case, AudioDirector.
